Why weathertightness matters
Uncontrolled air and moisture movement can lead to mould growth, energy loss, and material degradation. A well-sealed, breathable weather barrier helps stabilise indoor temperatures, reduce heating and cooling loads, and extend the life of the structure.
How it works
Our weather resistive barriers (WRBs) – also known as housewraps – are vapour-permeable membranes that form a protective outer skin around your structure. They stop wind-driven rain and external moisture from entering, while allowing water vapour inside the building to dry outwards.

SOLITEX EXTASANA® is a UV stabilised and tear resistant weather resistive barrier (WRB). It contains a non-porous, water resistant TEEE film that is laminated at high temperatures between two layers of spun bonded polypropylene.
This product is designed for use behind most typical wall cladding systems, including cavity brick, fibre-cement, masonry, and other common wall systems. It is suitable for use in BAL regions 12.5 to 40 in accordance with AS 3959.

SOLITEX EXTASANA ADHERO® is a UV stabilised and tear resistant weather resistive barrier (WRB). It contains a non-porous, water resistant TEEE film, with a full solid acrylate adhesive back and siliconized release paper.
This product is designed for use in exterior cladding systems and can be fully adhered to rigid substrates, It is suitable for use in BAL regions 12.5 to 40 in accordance with AS 3959.

SOLITEX MENTO® PLUS is a UV stabilised and tear
resistant weather resistive barrier (WRB). It contains a non-porous, water resistant TEEE film that is laminated
at high temperatures between two layers of spun bonded polypropylene, and also has an added scrim for extra strength.
This product is suitable for use in tile, metal and slate roof applications and it is suitable for use in BAL regions 12.5 to 40 in accordance with AS 3959.

SOLITEX MENTO® 5000 is a UV stabilised and tear resistant weather resistive barrier (WRB). It contains a non-porous, water resistant TEEE film that is laminated at high temperatures between two layers of spun bonded polypropylene.
This product is suitable for use in tile, metal and slate roof applications and it is suitable for use in BAL regions 12.5 to 40 in accordance with AS 3959.

SOLITEX MENTO® ULTRA is a UV stabilised and tear resistant weather resistive barrier (WRB). It contains a non-porous, water resistant TEEE film that is laminated at high temperatures between two layers of spun bonded polypropylene.
This product is suitable for use in tile, metal and slate roof applications, including those requiring an extra heavy-duty duty classification (AS/NZS 4200.1) and it is suitable for use in BAL regions 12.5 to 40 in accordance with AS 3959.

SOLITEX® UM connect is a weather resistive barrier that contains as inbuilt 3D separation layer and integrated self-adhesive strips. It is suitable for both ventilated and unventilated structures in combination with most roof and wall cladding materials. It contains a non-porous, water resistant TEEE film that is laminated at high temperatures between two layers of spun bonded polypropylene.
This product is suitable for use in tile, metal and slate roof applications and it is suitable for use in BAL regions 12.5 to 40 in accordance with AS 3959. It can also be used in wall applications behind most cladding materials.
